MLRC

 

Library collections are developed to support the curricular and industry needs of students, staff, and faculty at the Academy. Acquisition of information resource is primarily focuses on the latest resources on maritime subjects. With over 6,500 titles and 18, 500 over volumes, MLRC collections for both reference and open shelf consist of monographs, serials and audio visual materials.

 

 

 

 

The collection is made accessible through an integrated online catalogue PULSE  which consists of collections from 6 PETRONAS group wide libraries - PETRONAS Resource Centre, INSTEP, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, PETRONAS Leadership Centre, MISC and ALAM.  All MLRC collection is classified using the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC).

 

 

 

 

As one of PETRONAS group wide libraries, collection of e-books and scholarly journals can be accessed via an online database- MyPRECISE.

 

 

 

As for MLRC special collections, they are divided into 5 categories:-

 

 

• IMO publications (including IMO Circulars)

• International Marine notices from Maritime & Coastal Guard Agency (MCA)

• Malaysia marine notices from Marine Department Malaysia (MarDep)

• International and Malaysia marine statues

• Marine artefacts
